DOCUMENTATION · GETTING STARTED

Order, deploy, and connect to your VPS.

A clear first-run checklist from choosing resources to confirming a secure connection.

01

1. Choose the starting plan

Estimate memory from the operating system, application, database, and peak concurrency. Review transfer needs and leave headroom for updates and traffic growth. Use the plan recommender as a starting point, then verify storage media, network options, IP allocation, operating system, and add-ons in the dashboard.

02

2. Complete the order

Create or sign in to your HostIncharge account, select the billing cycle and available configuration, review the final INR amount and payment method, and keep the invoice or order reference. VPS deployment typically completes in under ten minutes after a valid order is accepted.

03

3. Save access information securely

Use the dashboard to obtain the assigned address and initial access method. Store credentials in a password manager. Never send passwords or private keys through email, WhatsApp, screenshots, or support tickets.

04

4. Perform the first connection

Connect using SSH for Linux or Remote Desktop for Windows. Immediately apply operating-system updates, replace temporary credentials, create a named administrative user where appropriate, and verify that you can reconnect before ending the original session.

05

5. Establish an operating baseline

Configure firewall rules, time synchronisation, monitoring, and independent backups. Record the server purpose, owner, recovery steps, renewal date, and approved administrators.
